  • Recognize how management plays a role to create a healthy and safe work environment through safety and health programs, worksite analysis to identify potential hazards on site, and levels of controls used to control exposure to hazardous materials and situations
  • Identify the struck-by and caught-in or caught-between hazards associated with serious construction-related injuries
  • Recognize the appropriate PPE to use based on a workplace evaluation and the types of hazards present
  • Identify the appropriate hearing protection for your workplace based on the hazards of excessive noise, the types of noise, the results of a noise-monitoring program, and the OSHA rules for hearing protection
  • Identify the appropriate respiratory protection for your workplace based on the types of airborne contaminants, the functions of different respirators, and the OSHA rules for respiratory protection
  • Identify hazards posed by lead and crystalline silica in construction and how to control and avoid them
  • Recognize the hazards of asbestos and identify ways to stay safe as you work in and around asbestos, including monitoring, communication, training, medical surveillance, PPE, and engineering controls

Payment Information: All outer island courses, add ten percent. You may cancel your registration up to 14 days prior to the course for a full refund. If you cancel your registration between 14 and 7 days before the course, your registration fee will be refunded less a 10 percent enrollment charge. If you need to cancel less than 7 days prior to the course you may 1) send a substitute from your firm or 2) transfer your registration to another course of your choice offered within the next 12 months.

Employers who have trained their workers with the OSHA Outreach Program for Construction have seen reductions of up to 66% in lost-time injuries. This 30-hour construction safety course is the online version of that successful program and is intended to provide instruction on a variety of general construction safety and health standards. See OutLine tab for more details.

Course Requirements •You must pass all exams with a minimum of 70% - but you get 3 chances taking each exam. •OSHA limits all 30-Hour Outreach Training (classroom and online) to a maximum of 7.5 hours training per day. All OSHA 30-Hour courses must be delivered over a minimum of four days. •You must spend at least 30 hours in the course to complete it. •OSHA 30-Hour online training must be completed within 180 days of the date you start the course.

OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job.

DOL OSHA 30-Hour Construction Completion Card A temporary Completion Certificate will be provided upon successful completion of our OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety course. Your official DOL OSHA 30-Hour card will be mailed directly to you. The card is signed by the course's OSHA-Authorized Trainer. Note: Only students within OSHA's jurisdiction (the 50 States and certain U.S. Territories) may receive a DOL card.
